Dr. Nicole Coleman is Associate Professor of German Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Her main research interests include 20th and 21st century German literature and the intersection of literature and human rights, intercultural competence, and different assessment techniques.
Nicole is the author of The Right to Difference (University of Michigan Press 2021) and the co-author of Impuls Deutsch 1 and 2, a beginning language textbook series published by Klett.
Currently, Nicole is working on a second book project about diversity in children’s literature, on an article about intercultural refugee art, and on several pedagogical projects focused on ungrading.
